SSC GD Constable 2018 final marks have been released by Staff Selection Commission on February 5, 2021. The Commission has released the marks of candidates who have been declared qualified for appearing in the Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Review Medical Examination (RME). Candidates can check their individual marks by using their registration number and password. Candidates can check their marks till March 6, 2021.

SSC GD Constable result 2018 for the Kerala region was released on January 29, a week later from the final SSC GD result 2018. The SSC GD result was declared by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on January 21. The result was released in the form of a PDF for all states except Kerala. Total 1,09,552 candidates have qualified the SSC GD 2018 exam. However, only 54,151 candidates (8,080 females and 46,071 males) have been provisionally selected and allocated different forces and states. Apart from this, the candidature of 260 candidates has been withheld as it requires further verification. 

Candidates can check the SSC GD Constable result on the official website of the Commission. The SSC GD result PDF contains names, roll numbers, categories, allocated forces and allocated states of all the candidates who have been shortlisted.

Earlier, the Commission was to announce the SSC GD Constable result on February 20, 2021. However, the same was delayed and has been announced on February 21, 2021 late night.

SSC GD Result Declaration Criteria

SSC GD result is declared by Staff Selection Commission after each stage of the exam is over.

  • SSC GD CBE result: Candidates whose SSC GD applications are shortlisted are called to appear for SSC GD computer-based exam. Candidates qualifying the SSC GD CBE exam have to appear for the next stage of the exam.
  • SSC GD PET/PST: Next, all qualifying candidates have to appear for physical efficiency test and/or physical standard test. Candidates qualifying PET/PST have to appear for the final stage of the exam.
  • SSC GD DME/RME: The final stage of SSC GD includes Detailed Medical Examination (DME) of candidates. In DME, candidates are tested to ensure that they are medically fit to join as a Constable or Rifleman in Indian forces. It may be noted that document verification to determine SSC GD eligibility of candidates is also done at this stage.

It may also be noted that Review Medical Exam (RME) is conducted only for candidates who produce any medical certificate as an evidence about the possibility of an error of judgement in the decision of the medical officer/board who had examined them in DME. However, the official website informs, “Such Medical Certificate will not be taken into consideration unless it contains a note by the Medical Officer from Government District Hospital or above along with registration no. given by MCI/ State Medical Council, to the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidate has already been rejected and declared unfit for service by CAPF Medical Board.”

It may be noted that the final SSC GD merit list is prepared only on the basis of candidates’ performance in SSC GD CBE exam. PET, PST and medical examination are only qualifying in nature.

SSC GD CBE Marks: Resolution of Tie Cases

In case, there is a tie between the SSC GD CBE scores of two candidates, it is resolved by following the below criteria:

  • Candidate with more marks in Part-A of CBE is considered for recruitment first
  • If the tie is not resolved, candidate with more marks in Part-B of CBE is considered first
  • If the tie is still not resolved, candidate who is older in age is considered first
  • If the tie is still not resolved, the alphabetical order of candidates’ names are considered
